LohGuanLye SPECIALISTS CENTRE (LSC), established in 1975, is a 276 bedded private hospital. It is located in the heart of Georgetown, Penang, about 30 minutes from the Penang International Airport and 20 minutes from the pristine beaches at Batu Ferringhi. The Centre provides a very comprehensive and quality healthcare services and facilities ranging from prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of diseases and medical conditions to cosmetic procedures and health screening package in a warm and caring environment ideal for rest and recovery.
With this expansion, LSC now has 3 wings, namely the Main Wing, Diagnostic Wing and Women & Children Wing with Fertility Centre. The Electronic Medical Record System has also been implemented to facilitate a more efficient management of patient’s records.
International Patient Care Service

Upon arrival, International guests will be greeted by our Customer Relation personnel at the International Desk; providing you the finest services with great care and significance. The International Desk focuses on: ~ Airport Transfer LSC provides you a comfortable journey; to and from the airport pick-up using our transportation services on daily basis. ~ Flight Confirmation Our team will assist in flight confirmation for the patient’s convenience. ~ Interpreter Service Interpretation services available include Indonesian language and Japanese language by our Customer Relation personnel. ~ Currency Exchange Currency Exchange services are also provided for the International patients. LohGuanLye SPECIALISTS CENTRE aims for the International patients to feel at ease with all these essential services provided..
We have full Accident & Emergency (A&E) services at LSC. The department is open 24 hours a day. All our specialists are available 24 hours a day and on call.
Upon arrival at reception counter, you will be greeted by our Customer Relation Officer/Receptionist who will guide you through the admission procedure
LSC offers a variety of meal choices to meet different medical needs and patient�s preference unless if you require a special diet (therapeutic diet). Our ward staff will assist you with your menu selections and ensure that your needs are attended to. Please check with the nurses if you bring in your own food, to ensure that it does not interfere with your treatment plan. LSC serves HALAL food. Please do not use the hospital crockery if you bring your own food. Do take note that cooking is not allowed in the hospital premises.
As soon as you have been notified of your discharge date and time, please inform your relatives so that transport arrangement can be made. Patient is advised to check out before 12.00 noon on the day of discharge. A half-day charge will be levied for those who wish to leave the hospital after 12.00noon and before 5.00pm. Any discharges after 5.00pm will be charged for a full day fee. All follow up appointments will be arranged by our ward receptionist. Payment can be made at the Customer Account Dept/ In-patient Cashier (Level 3, Block 2) and take home medication (if any) can be collected at the Pharmacy Counter (Level 1, Block 2 & 3).
- Free internet access is available in our hospital, kindly refer to our ward staff for the password - Telephone service at a chargeable rate is available for all single rooms - Surau is located at Level 3, Block 3. Kindly contact our ward staff/ receptionist for assistance.
